The Global Engineering Center is part of the global Product Development organization for transportation and metal industries. We focus on five technologies for the automotive branch, working on three streams: product engineering, application engineering and advanced testing. In this field, we are offering an internship for a period of 6 months or longer in one of our five technologies. As an intern, you will work actively on global projects for the next generation of sealants for powertrain and interact with different departments, such as Technical Customer Service, Business Development and Product Development. We are looking for highly motivated and talented candidates, who want to contribute to the development of our new sealing technologies and are interested in working in a global team.   

What we offer

  • Active involvement in our development projects for structural bonding in body-in-white
  • Assistance in planning, performing and evaluating application-oriented investigations with focus on structural bonding technology under supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Opportunity to work independently, while provided with the necessary team support
  • Involvement in our day-to-day business operation

Who we are looking for

  • A student about to conclude Engineering Studies (Diploma, Master or equivalent - Mechanical or Automotive Engineering preferred)
  • Good language skills in English and German

  • Good analytical skills to run market requirements Analysis and gather the most relevant technology aspects for automotive bonding applications

  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills as well as a goal-orientated approach
  • Computer application knowledge (MS Office)
  • Good communication skills and team work
  • Practical or international experience, e.g. by former internships or semester abroad, is advantageous

  • CAE knowledge is desirable
